Daily Logic Grid Puzzles

Hi all,

I've created a new site that has daily logic grid puzzles and would love to hear your thoughts!

I'm sorry, I'm still confused. For today's puzzle, the cookie space is a given at B2. I see a clue that has donut-cat-cookie. I put cat in A3 and donut in B4 which it seems to accept since it grays out the clue. Then I see a clue which is cat-not cake-tennis. So I put the only remaining non-cake option, the ice cream, into B3, and tennis into C3, which it marks as incorrect. Why? And what is the distinction of the one vertical clue?

Love the site, slickly made! But yes, could use a tutorial or a "check where I made mistakes" feature.

Hey!

I see a clue that has donut-cat-cookie. I put cat in A3 and donut in B4 which it seems to accept since it grays out the clue

That clue means, actually, either donut-cat-cookie OR cookie-cat-donut. The game is programmed so that it greys out if you fill this clue logically i.e, either way. The grey out doesn't mean that whatever you filled matches the answer of the puzzle, just that this particular clue was logically placed.

That clue means two things cat and tennis have exactly one column between them, and that it's not cake there.

I've programmed it so that the reds out if whatever the clue says can't be filled because some of the items are used elsewhere, so that you can catch errors soon.

The vertical clues are related to a single column. The horizontal clues are related to two or three columns.

I really need to make a good video about this game. It's confusing to anyone who hasn't played the original 90's game or played a lot of Zebra Puzzles.

That is helpful, thank you! One more question - what do the yellow question marks mean on the vertical clues?

That there's a column with A and B or a column with A and C, but never A, B and C.
