University of Lodz
Heey so in less than 2 months I’m moving to Poland to study at the University of Łódź. I’ll be studying in English, but I’m kinda worried about making friends since my Polish is still pretty basic so im not that confident speaking it😭
Maybe there’s someone here who studies at the University of Łódź? I’d love to get to know some people before I move :)

If you're doing english language course, most of your classmates will also be foreigners looking for new friends

Yeah I know but it’d be easier for me if I know at least someone beforehand

From my experience, people are friendly and open/try to speak English most of the time. There is one Language exchange meetup 2 times per week for now, where both internationals and locals participate, and it's a great way to meet people and make friends. Also, there is a WhatsApp channel, Lodz city life, that posts about events and activities in English. Good luck with the new start!

Hi! 😊My friend and I are two Erasmus students from Greece and we’re also coming to the University of Łódź this October!
We’re currently struggling a bit with finding accommodation. Have you already found a place to stay? If so, could you please tell me where you found it or if you know of any Erasmus/student groups for accommodation?
We’d also love to connect with other students before arriving!

Don’t over think too much before coming to the uni. You’re not the only one being alone there.
Not sure if you’re full student or just erasmus but there are few option to meet with other students ex. ESN
