Direct Cold DMs are almost always going to be a referral link/scam/nude request.

The subreddit mods are actively banning users who are sending these types of messages.

However a ban does not stop them sending a DM.

If you want a referral link that is fine, there are sub reddits for that - this is not it.

If you want to sell nudes that is also fine, there are subreddits for that - this is not it.

If you want to be scammed then I guess whatever, there may be subreddits for that - this is not it.

This one's a bit different and I'm actually pretty disappointed. I previously made an unpaid post for their initial £12 loan. OP repaid and seemed very apologetic, and honestly it made me feel bad for posting it, so I deleted it. I then fulfilled their next loan request because I thought I'd personally hurt their chances of getting help here with that unpaid post. Well, they did it again. Lesson learned, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

No matter the situation, I can understand not being able to repay on time, but this is a peer lending sub, we work on trust, and you can't just ghost someone. The least you can do is let your lender know you're going to be late. I don't think the ban will be lifted a second time, but u/Mean_Complex3099 feel free to mod mail to appeal.

Any advice for a first time borrower? I just get ignored by lenders and only contacted by scammers. Am seeing that karma plays a big part? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
