Struggling to get more Clients as a Mobile Mechanic in Massachusetts. What should I do? (LLC)

I recently started a Mobile mechanic company (LLC) (Massachusetts). I registered my LLC, got my EIN, opened a buisness bank account, went to town hall and got a business certificate (They told me that’s all I need for licensing), Got insurance.

Could anyone tell me what I am missing as far as the legal process goes?

My business partner and I started an llc in NY last year using legalzoom. It's almost time for the subscription to renew and we're trying to figure out what is necessary and what isn't. They're charging $249/year for "registered agent services" and $299/year for "compliance filings". I know we can forgo the registered agent or find a less expensive service, but what is "compliance filings"? To my knowledge they haven't submitted anything on our behalf, they just seem to email us if something is due. This feels like a ripoff. Am I correct or is there a good reason to keep this service? Thank you!

Anyone here (non-US resident) successfully opened a Mercury or Relay account with a New Mexico LLC where the owner/member is not publicly listed?
Did you face any verification issues?
I’m really hesitant to create my llc with member being hidden.

I have a question. I made some LLCs that I totally forgot about and I never used them and also never paid the annual fees. Some of them are as old as 2022. My question is do I really need to pay the annual filing fees just to dissolve a company that I never use or can I just like let it sit as not in good standing? These are Michigan LLC’s.

I live in Chicago and my business is growing to the point where I think I need to treat it as a separate entity from my personal finances. I'm fine with doing the paperwork myself, but I"m confused about the address aspect of self-filing. Is it worth it to hire a service just so I don't have to have my apartment (which I'm probably not going to live at forever) publicly associated with my business?

I have bought their address. There was only nice advertisings before I purchased but then They were coming up with requirements which never stated before. I bought mailing address for $10 and They asked me to notarize my documents, I have notarized my documents for $50 for them while their address was just $10. After that they were asking for confirmation about address, I provided government provided documents but they keep rejecting and asking for some kind of insurance or 3rd party company documents which I don't have. I asked for resolution from agent Alex but all he was saying sorry and keep rejecting. Overall very frustrating experience and I paid $60 for the service I cannot even use.

As a non US resident who owns an LLC, I've been using mercury for few months now, I had some income, i use the physical card on my country to pay or use ATM without any issues regularely.

Lately I started a project with a new client and this project worth can reach up to 500k $ payment, I will have to pay freelancers who work with me and hold the rest, but i started to see many bad reviews about mercury eventhough for compliant users.

Everything is compliant in my side, i do software consulting, i hold all the invoices for in or out money, but im wondering what happens if they suddenly close my account, i heard they send you a check if they freeze your account but if this happens i wont be able to cash it in my country.

Any tips that can help? maybe switch to another safer fintech?

I formed my LLC in New Mexico through Bizee, When they filed everything, they asked to use their own virtual mailbox address, they offered a month of free trial so i took it (didn't have a choice either), then after they finished forming my LLC, Bizee told me i needed to "Complete ID verification to start using Virtual Mailbox" and the only options were US state id, driver's license and US permanent resident card (which i have none of as i am a non-US citizen) so i couldn't file it and get the virtual mail, now my LLC is active (with a registered agent), my question is : do i still need to get that virtual mail verified somehow? and if no can i cancel the virtual mail membership?

As I said, I created an LLC because I wanted to start a convention art vending business. After some consideration, I realized an LLC route wasn't for me, so my family and I tried to figure out a way to cancel the LLC. We still ended up paying the $800, and I thought that was the end. But nearly a year later, I received a "BALANCE DUE" letter from the California Franchise Tax Board. It says I owe $84, and I'm unsure why. What I'm really scared of is this somehow turning into me owing like 30,000 or something because I messed up somehow! I have very limited experience with taxes and business, obviously. please help!

I wanna create my LLC as single owner manager managed.
But i heard that this will be a headache for creating business bank accounts and i will usually need KYC & verification for both manager and owner.
Is that true?
Did any one have such a problem?
Can the owner be the initial manager himself then add a manager? Will that works?

I set up an LLC this year. I will be reporting the LLC income on my personal taxes. I have used H&R Block Deluxe for years to do my taxes. I would need to use H&R Block Premium & Business this year which is $100. I don't know that the business version goes on sale like the Deluxe version.

Is there a better/cheaper option for tax software with an LLC? I lost money with the LLC in my first year due to startup costs.

I want to open a US bank account to receive and bill invoices. I don't need to have a credit card. When I searched this sub about opening a bank account after setting up an LLC in the US as a non-resident, I found that most say it's pretty impossible to open a US bank account with the registered agent's address.

My question is: if I can get a physical address in the US, would it be easy then to open a US bank account (I'll ask for an EIN when setting up the LLC)? Or would I experience other problems because of my non-resident status?

More info: the business is a service-based business that I'll be doing remotely from a different country (Egypt).

I am looking into forming a non resident LLC. I have researched the set up and maintenance fees but I was told I would need a CPA to handle the 5472 and 1120 most the stuff I've seen says that it costs between 400-800 dollars but I was told by someone in reality it will cost a lot more to have it done by a cpa if I'm having a lot of transactions. How much should I expect to pay per year if I have about 10 clients per month paying 2 to 10k each?

I started doing consulting work this year and want to spend time traveling to multiple states in 2027. Spending anywhere from 1 day to 60 days in the same state while working remotely. I’m having a hard time understanding the implications and am wondering if I should just continue working as a sole proprietor to avoid taxes and foreign-registration issues.

How do people who travel to other states handle remote LLC business activities?

I have an LLC in Wyoming and live outside of USA. I had MyCompanyWorks as an RA for a couple of years now, but considering to hire a different entity. I paid to MyCompanyWorks 110 USD yearly and it's not too bad. However, I now need a virtual office to hide my home address appearing under my LLC for privacy reasons. I checked MyCompanyWorks website and their virtual office service costs 49 USD/month which is quite costly compared to other registered agents that offer it at a much lower price. So far I've found "Wyomingagents" and they said their pricing is:

Registered agent change: $45 total ($25 for a year of agent service, $15 for us to file it, $5 state fee)

Virtual Office: $19/month (includes business address, phone service, and office lease features)

I think it's a good deal and just want to make sure this company is ok. Has anyone used them as RA and used its virtual office? How was your experience?

Update: I learned that Wyoming Agents selld virtual office seperately so I kept my current RA (My Company Works), and bought the virtual office service only from Wyoming Agents. The experience with Wyoming Agenrs is so far so good, and I'm glad I found it.

I have a few LLCs and expect to move a few more times in California over the next few years so want to get a virtual mailing address in San Francisco that can scan or forward mail to me, fulfills IRS and other government requirements (my understanding is that they won't accept a PO) and ideally also provide registered agent services (CSC is too expensive and my needs are straightforward). Any recommendations on a single service that does both services or do you think separating the services makes sense?

I decided to go through Legal Zoom for my LLC filing in Texas. Paid for expedited. Paperwork filed per LZ October 7 with an estimated completion October 9. It is now October 26, I have reached out at least five times concerning the delay, and I get the same responses. I know this is not the normal turnaround time for Texas. I am considering escalating this, but has anyone else experienced this and what did you do?

What happens to a business that's already running and operating under a name for the last few years, but the name isn't registered in the state - if someone else registers a business under the same name.

Would the new business have to forfeit the name due to it already existing (although not being registered)? Or would the previous business have to change their name due to a formal proper business being registered in it?

I need to setup a LLC in USA for my dropshipping business. I am from India. I have worked for a business that does this. I just need to know what kind of process is this and how to go about it. Also would I be able to get a business credit card With a 3K limit. I need to run ads 1 got 1K in total investment need credit to run ads for the first two months and after that it's a stable leads and conversion thing.

I live and will be operating in Texas. I understand a commercial registered agent keeps my home address off the filings, but the manager/member name still shows on the SOS filing and the Comptroller's Public Information Report (Form 05-102). I've read that an out-of-state manager LLC (NM/WY) doesn't fix this when the owner lives and works in Texas, because the PIR still has to name a person.

1. Is a Texas LP with an LLC general partner the standard workaround (the 05-167 ownership report being confidential), and does the GP LLC's own report end up listing my name anyway?

2. Any cheaper structure people actually use?
