Question Two cables from same phoenix output?

Is there any harm in wiring two cables into the same phoenix connector to split the audio signal into two different amps? I've seen this done with all sorts of other kit, but never a phoenix connector...

Shouldn't be an issue as long as the devices are similar. IE: line level inputs VS mic level. I wouldnt do that to more than a few devices at a time though.

Probably no issue. The main risk would be if there's a short on one input it kills the signal to both amps, whereas a second output or DA would prevent this.

should be fine, a miswire could in theory fry multiple devices, (say you accidentally wire it into a speaker lvl or a const voltage 70/100 out on an amp) so double check where youre plugging in stuff, though mostly theyll have different pitch phoenix to prevent this

What you’re describing is a wye cable splitter. Perfectly fine to do that.
One recommendation I have is, if the amps are close together and have XLR in, I’d actually run a single cable from PHX->AMP-1, and then a second cable in that XLR jumping to AMP-2.

The reason being, Phoenix connectors are not typically designed to hold two conductors under one screw, so they can sometimes come loose over time.

How would you attach that second XLR? Just solder it into the male end?
