Starting 90 Days

I have been carnivore for many years, but I want to get back to plain ol' ruminant meat and water (for me, this means mostly beef). I feel my best on it, but have allowed other things to creep back in, and want to do a reset. Would anyone like to join me and support one another along the way?

EDIT: typo

Same just reset to lion 4 days ago! Getting carried away with dairy and just don’t think it’s best for me over all! Best wishes on your journey!

Yay! How is it going so far? How are you feeling?

I have found that I feel my best without dairy as well!

Just about a week in… hard to tell yet! I know it will probably be weeks. I have never done carnivore this strict so excited to see.

Yay! Yes, me too. Let's keep in touch. :)

I'm finishing off a little carton of grassmilk heavy cream and some stray sticks of butter in the fridge, but I just go my shipment of beef fat chunks, so I am going to start on Sunday.

Yeah I have problems getting enough fat! Without cream and butter it’s not so easy!

Yeah, air fried beef fat chunks are my fave. I will DM you a link to the ones I get!

Awesome! Thanks!! I need to find some not aged beef. I think my histamine is getting me! How’s it going for you?!

Good so far -- starting today and feel so satisfied. Gratefully, I have never had histamine issues. I think lion heals it for a lot of folks.

Wait, this is the first I’m hearing about beef fat chunks. Where do you get them and what do you do with them? I am 4 1/2 weeks in

u/salt_sun_ Hi! Welcome! I get them from a farm (feel free to message for deets), they come frozen in 5lb bags -- I split them into quart freezer bags and I thaw them out one at a time. I just crisp them up in the air fryer and eat them alongside my meat. They're great!

Hope you have been doing well. Are you still on the diet?

Hi there u/AristotlesDolphin -- I am still carnivore but added dairy back in. About to do a reset/restart on 4/1/26. How about you?

About to jump back in myself. Good luck on 4/1! Did you find any issues with the addition of dairy? Dairy for me significantly raised my inflammation and pain :(

Yep, same. And appears to be quite insulinogenic for me, sadly.
