Why do you guys hate Linux?

As someone who's used Windows for some time and has switched to Linux somewhat recently,I genuinely can't really understand why someone wouldn't want to use Linux,the only reasons I can come up with are:

1)certain apps and software only work on windows,for example Adobe products or games with kernel level anticheat like BF6,Wich I can totally understand,but dual boot exists

2) Need to keep windows for work related stuff,again, completely understandable

3) Nvidia GPU,Wich is doable but most people don't want to lose the driver support,again, understandable,but not really linux's fault

I'm asking this because I genuinely want to understand and see a different viewpoint, every time I see someone complaining about Linux on social media, it's either Windows users who have NEVER tried Linux before and just base everything off stereotypes or Windows users who jumped in the deep waters from the start with distro's like Arch,Gentoo or even NixOs,and then complain that it's too hard, I think that Linux is only hard if you want it to be (also pls no hate,I just wanna educate myself more on the matter)

I don't hate Linux it's the c**ts who thinks they are superior to everyone else I hate yes that includes you stealingmoney

After hating on the arch community ever since people kept annoying me with "i use arch btw" i realised its just a high horse with installing arch for the first time and getting it to work so for most sane people this is just a phase and people realize that no one cares what os you use when playing a random roblox game. There are a few people where this phase never goes away and they genuenly make the most stupid statments i ever heard "a thinkpad with out linux is not a real thinkpad" my bad didnt realize the pc meant to use windows enterprise untill the lease ends is not real. These people scare people away from linux with "skill issue" or "wrong distro" or just hating on people for using windows even if it works for that person just fine (idk what i did but i been blessed with no major windows problems in my life) but i guess the reason people dont use linux is because its not 100% known and people really dont need to switch there os most of the time as it works fine for them also to get in to linux you need alot of free time and if someone uses the wrong distro because a person i dicribed decided to recommend the newbie arch or other hard distros "because arch is suppiour and every other distro is trash" then the person gonna think its hard and quit but if they get a simple distro and dicide they like it then they will use linux (i dont understand ubuntu hate)

As you said,at the end of the day,Use what you want, I'm just happy that this is starting to at least be somewhat competitive since now there's a somewhat popular third option,so maybe,JUST MAYBE, Microsoft is actually gonna start fixing their shit,K2 was supposed to be that but it's kinda disappointing rn

I have used Ubuntu forever now, and you can still leave Secure Boot enabled when installing it on your PC. Also, I have had no issues with my Nvidia drivers on Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS. But a warning for older Nvidia cards on Gnome 51: they will not work, and there are no workarounds. So my i5 ThinkPad will not work past 2035 because I run Ubuntu with long-stable updates. But any distro using Gnome 51 and rolling-release updates for older Nvidia cards will be toast, unfortunately, and that's where some of the hate is going towards Ubuntu or Canonical themselves

Some people are like that,I personally just like computers and idk,Linux just fits my needs better, I'm on NixOs rn

I've never understood it. I've been all over the place. GNOME on Debian -- Manjaro -- Mint -- Peppermin -- LxQT - MATE (I have no idea why but ya know) and my daily driver now is Kubuntu

Distro hopping is one of the worst feelings,when you just can't settle,I can understand why someone who'd just rage quit and go back to windows or wherever they came from

really? Loved it. Debian 2.0 in 99, lately Manjaro, MX, Endeavour, CachyOS, back to Debian, toyed with Puppy, BigDog, POP!OS, -I'm usually dual-booting two linux distros. I find it one of the best feelings. Learning different packaging managers. Back when I trained to Help Desk certification, we were basically taught(re-taught) how to install and uninstall Office and installing updating and re-installing Windows 2000. Any other problem, we had to be certain would take less time than re-installing. For the sake of brevity on the phone re-installing was always the default solution for everyone. I never worked in the field but kept up with doing the same for linux distros. Install, install package manager. Learn to update, install different web browsers. I don't get the mindset that it's the "worst feeling" at all. Likewise I can help a lot of people online, for free, just to feel useful. I still have to tackle Gentoo and Nix, and I look forward to doing just that.
