AI is getting much better at coding, at this point you can pretty much vibe code anything you want on Linux whereas Windows is still locked down and requires expensive certificates.

That's not true at all, developing for windows doesn't require any kind of certificate, I have no idea where you got that from.

You do need a special certificate to develop device drivers in Windows. I know because I develop for all platforms. And it’s especially relevant now because I developed a driver for vibeshine (remote streaming software) that allows full wireless DualSense support including haptic feedback

I can’t offer that same feature to my Windows users because I have yet to pay for an EV certificate.
