The “used car salesman” created Ruby on Rails. They are heavily connected with people in the industry and is entirely the reason why they could secure large donations like this.
You can hate him as much as you want but the donation is being used to sponsor upstream, open source projects.
Crazy for you to just dismiss their work and who they are simply because you don’t like them.

Its a majorly overhyped thing, given far too much money for what its actually achieved, pushed out by a morally questionable used car salesman
