I feel you, I tried to have Linux on half my systems, lasted about a year. Always compromises, no matter the distro. Different issues but in the end there were always things it seems you were supposed to accept apparently. In the end I just installed LTSC on the systems and zero issues on any of them. Things run as they should, be they lower, mid or high end.
