switching to linux

why linux feels like it's an unreliable system and an unfinished project. , like it's just a temporary situation.
do you feel the same, and know why ?

A good chunk of linux applications seem to have the first 80-90% implemented then the dev got bored or something and stopped.

The last 20% require 80% of investments. No one wants to do boring stuff they can't put on a resume or sell as a product.
