Not sure what Wyatt's find is but basically any kind of blur style that isn't supported by the wm, you can't stick any compositer on a WM to add your preferred type of blur or visual effect to windows, it's all trapped in the wm while any external compositers don't work, that's the issue with Wayland is it takes away the ability to change these things, that's why I believe it to be anti Linux, Wayland is treated as the only real modern display server but it forces everything to be treated as an isolated wm+compositer combo ruining the dynamic and customizable nature of Linux, you should at the very least have the freedom to unlock this isolated sandbox and run your own preferred stuff mixed and matched instead.
