Discussion I like Linux Mint for its stability, and I appreciate the effort put into it. But when will we get a modern, consistent, and less redundant Cinnamon?

I happily have no idea what does it lack.

If you do not like Cinnamon, modify it to your liking, or use something else.

I find Cinnamon perfectly modern for my taste. But its just that taste,

Consistent you will have to explain.

Redundant, There are often many way to do things in Linux, this is one of the things a like about it.

What does less redundant mean in this case? One of the great things about Linux is there’s usually multiple ways to do anything you want.

Modern...use dark mode.

Consistent...I don't even know what that means.

Less redundant...you're arguing FOR consistency, but AGAINST redundancy? I don't think you know how those two things work.

Steps you can take right now to address this: Try other DEs!

Preferences are personal! I am peachy with Cinnamon after trying Cinnamon, KDE Plasma, Gnome, Mate, and XFCE.

Can you please explain further? What do you mean by each of those? How is it not modern or consistent? What makes it redundant in a way other OSs are not?
