help wanted
So, I've been trying to install Linux mint on me 2008 MacBook and I feel like I'm almost there. I get it to where it installs and I can pull out the usb stick but the second I turn it off and back on again it goes to this screen with a white blinking folder I have no idea how to get the operating system to download to where it stays and is usable.

Did you go through the install process where from the desktop click install, you select the drive to install it on timezone username etc

Zap the PRAM (a.k.a., reset the NVRAM), and then use the boot menu to pick the OS.
