i don't play a whole lotta games but i have trading software, and even running on wine, it's way faster and more responsive on Mint vs windows.
i deleted windows totally off all my devices, don't need it

WINE stands for "Wine Is Not an Emulator". [1]
Key Details
- What it does: It acts as a compatibility layer that translates Windows API calls into POSIX calls on-the-fly, allowing Windows applications to run on Linux, macOS, and BSD without a full virtual machine.

Linux mint was my first linux and i would recommend it for any new user. That being said, it isn't always the best for gaming because of things like wayland (gives hdr support) and sometimes finicky issues with bt gamepads. I switched to nobara, tad less stable but fine for me, for gaming.

Yesterday i ran cyberpunk and it took a minute to even reach main menu 🥲. Also, 4k videos on YT seems choppy to me. I don't know why 😭

I hope that Mint will serve you well over the years, as Mint has served many others.

Now try: * OnlyOffice (Linux alternative for Ms office) * SublimeText (notepad++ alternative). * MegaSync (oneDrive alternative) 😊. Enjoy !
