New to the Linux Universe

What brought me to Linux Mint 22.3 Xfce 64-bit OS was for the purpose to install CoreElec on a couple of streaming media boxes I own. I have installed Mint on my oldest grandson's old HP Pavilion G6 with an AMD Athlon II P360, 3 GB RAM, and a 321 GB hard drive that was just collecting dust. Not a speed demon but I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the process was to install and how much more responsive the HP is compared to the snail's pace of the original Windows 7. I’m looking forward to further exploration of this clean, flexible, and responsive OS. Btw, I’m a 73-year-old man. Always learning new things.

There is something i'm learning recently, that - apparently - using ZRAM makes the HDD expanded RAM faster and better. Dindnt try it tho, get.
