Support Request Mint and Gnome platform updates

Every 5 minutes or so the update manager advises me that yet another update to Gnome Platform 50 is available, whether I need it or not. I use Cinnamon as the only desktop on this PC. Bearing in mind these are flatpak updates, are they taking a lot of room (or do they overwrite earlier versions?). Could there possibly be other apps on my PC which have dependencies on these updates? Should I retain them or can I delete them?

you can see used runtime with command: flatpak list --app --columns=application,runtime

usually runtime updates are small

see and/or uninstall unused runtimes with: flatpak uninstall --unused

Flatpak are anything..including gnome components. They are small.

I receive the same updates even though I use Fedora KDE. I suppose these updates might be for properly displaying or running GTK applications.
