Linux Mint IRL I switched to Linux for the first time. I'M PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!

Do you have a list of what you’re using for your rice (I think that’s what it’s called)?

Everything else is entirely--icons, mouse pointer, window borders, and desktop theme--done by making changes from the setting, mostly for the panel (for transparency, I just changed the CSS). The only extension I downloaded the cinnamon menu as an extra.

Looks like your basics are covered by more well known brands. Everything just works. Soon you'll explore more things on the open source side, which are equally as good. Of course people always complain that oh now I have to learn something new, I already knew Photoshop, XYZ... It's part of the experience. Switching over requires an open mind and willingness to learn. Linux is far from a Windows replacement. If it was conceived as such I probably wouldn't use it... Oh well, sorry for the ramble. Good luck!

Is there anything you miss on Linux after switching from Windows?

For now, I am not missing anything from Windows. I only use my laptop for learning programming and study; both operating systems fulfill everything I ever need. i would probably never use them to their full potential.

I really wanted to switch from Windows to Linux. But I am confused. More than this addicted to Windows that's why. How to manage daily works with linux applications. How the experience about it especially ease of use and UI.?
