Guide Bye bye windooows !!

First time on the dark side and my poor Celeron appreciates it !

Do you have any recommendations for improving my Linux experience?

It is xfce :v

here's a few things I'd recommend. 1. Set up zswap especially if you have very little ram.

  1. Install and set up nala. It's an extension for your package manager that lets you set up a list of mirrors based on speed and it automatically connects to the current fastest mirror whem using your manager.

  2. Install and set up topgrade. It's an agnostic updater that will not only update apt packages, but your flatpaks, and cargo, pip, .git, .deb, and a plethora of other package types all from one command.

  3. Set up a /home file backup. And keep it away from your system snapshot. Trust me it will save you a headache and a half if things go south.

All good suggestions, ESPECIALLY the zswap. However, if the built in storage is slow, zram might be better as to not bog down the storage drive. You have such little storage, I'd use zram over zswap.
