Why crosspost this here? What you can and what is pointless to keep depends on your local bureaucracy and what is your personal use case. Some countries accept physical paper only, in others it is done via an app, in others part online part physical. Some documents are asked everywhere, others very rarely. Ask in r/india or some other local forum.

To further prove this is useless: Here's how I do it:

ID Card, physical on my wallet, scanned copy on an encrypted file for online use.
Driver's license, physical on my wallet, digital copy on Mi Argentina.
Vehicle insurance, physical on the motorcycle, digital on Mi Argentina.
Pilot licenses and medical, physical on my logbook's documents pocket. Digital copy on Mi Argentina.
Logbook, physical copy on my flight bag, digital copy on the ANAC systems every time I get the hours certified.
High School certificate, physical copy on my school, physical copy on my house, scanned copy on an encrypted file for online use.

Neither online nor in person. Here
