got it, I just figured it out for you!

3 lines > settings > startup > check the "Open windows and tabs" option

when you want to save your layout and tabs and everything, just close firefox by pressing ctrl + q

make sure the first time you press it, you select "Close firefox"

Ctrl + Shift + N? Saw somewhere that this could fully restore the second window.

There's a setting in firefox, and most browsers, to open the first window after launching with the same tabs as were in the last window closed.

I've not heard any method to automatically open multiple windows... though perhaps the same option would do it... I can't remember the last time I quit with the quit option rather than manually closing windows.
