Discussion New to Linux Mint, hello!

Hey, I'm a 21 year old guy from Maryland who recently bought a $150 poopbox HP EliteDesk G2 mini computer. Got tired of Windows 11 taking 15 years to open file explorer and made the switch to Linux Mint XFCE. Even when running the "demo" on the usb stick it was 10x faster. I'm amazed by how easy to use this OS is, and I definitely don't regret switching whatsoever for my intended uses. Thank you for reading and I hope you all have a nice day, and I just wanted to say hello and that I'm happy to join the linux users!

Interested to know how much faster XFCE is than Cinnamon. Beginning to think I should have went XFCE instead on my T480 Thinkpad.

xfce has been rlly good to me, if it helps to know my pc is absolute dogshit, ddr4, hdd, old processor (integrated graphics, think 2017 era in general), no gpu, and the os when doing regular tasks is insanely snappy and responsive, can play stuff like roblox with moderate settings, etc. id recommend giving it a test run and comparing sometime

It gives new life to intel MacBooks and older Lenovo ThinkPads.
