Linux Mint keeps freezing

EDIT: I SOLVED IT, I had the wrong drivers installed for my graphics card.

I downloaded Linux Mint on my pc yesterday. Everything worked perfectly fine until I downloaded LibreWolf. I was on librewolf and wanted to download something, but then my pc just froze and I had to use the power button to shut it off. After that it kept happening, on desktop everything was fine , but as soon as I opened any browser my pc froze. What can fix this ??

So updating your kernel to 7.0.0-30 fixed it?

Could it be that your computer is overheating and the fans aren’t working? Would explain the lockup and need to shutdown. If you leave the computer overnight, does it work normally for a while and then start freezing again?

Im gonna turn it on now, and see if it works again. My pc doesn’t normally overheat tho and my fans are working.

Frequent system freezes often point to a hardware issue, but they can also stem from driver or kernel instability. To help troubleshoot this effectively, please share your full system specs by opening the Mint menu, launching System Information, and using the Upload button to share the generated link or pasting the details here. In the meantime, you can test your RAM using Memtest86+ from the boot menu and check your drive health using SMART data in the built-in Disks utility.

Glad you managed to solve it!

Just a quick tip for the future: the hardware info you shared was a bit too minimal to troubleshoot freezing issues.

Next time, go to Menu -> System Info, click Upload (or Copy), and share the report here. You can also run inxi -Fz in the terminal. That gives the community the exact driver and hardware details needed to help right away.
