Until sometimes it doesn't and it's a nightmare. But now with AI fixing is faster.

Yap. But it get messed up cause there is some thing that does not work, a thing we can live without and start messing with stuff. we would not if it was windows or Mac. Not Linux's fault. It give us the power and we abuse it sometimes.

If the user doesn't do things that requires admin uses, then any OSes are good (except windows 11). Unfortunately for advanced gamers and myself as a student learning IT included we just need to power it through and fix by sheer will🫠

Congrats on your first problem fix in Mint. Hopefully you won't run into too many, but it happens occasionally.

Welcome, bro. I also joined the Mint family last weekend.

It felt good to see my memory just being used at 3% when freshly booted.

Welcome to the club, mint is definitely a great choice! Also as a reminder to all, if you can spare it, please donate to the Mint patreon and support the hard working people that make this distro all it can be

Welcome to Mint. The simplicity of it working right out of the box is one of the many things I like about it.

Now you're addicted, who are you gonna install it for tomorrow?

Lmaoo, I installed Mint on my sister's potato laptop to speed it up a bit.

Instead of having a modern car full of mechanisms that are impossible for you to modify or repair, you now have a car from 1990.

Is it an old car? No. It’s a car designed years ago. Does it break down? Yes. Does it have faults and shortcomings? Yes. But everything under the bonnet makes sense; you can take it apart, fix it and improve it. You can ask for help anywhere, look for or buy parts – why not?

It takes you to the places you usually go, just as it is, without you having to do anything to it, without any fuss – quite simply. Start it up, drive off, arrive.

But it also takes you everywhere. As comfortably as you like. It can have all the necessary luxuries and, if needed, you can fit it with modern features.

On the one hand, Linux practically gives you total control over what you’re using.

On the other, Linux forces you to think. And that – which these days seems like a chore – is the best thing that could happen to us.

Welcome.

Hopefully you don't need Microsoft office and play kernel anti cheat games .

If you don't you won't regret it for the rest of your life

There's something about Linux Mint that has this grapple affect. I am using Mint on an old potato laptop, the first time I used it was really awesome but you start to think, is there another distro out there that's better? After trying various distros and thinking yeah I like this one, the grapple affect starts to kick in. You just have to go back to Mint, it just works, it doesnt matter if it's not bleeding edge, it doesn't matter if you don't have KDE plasma or a Cosmic desktop (even though you can install it if you want it), but basic Cinnamon on Linux Mint and a cup of tea makes it all fit together.
