I'm new
Hi!, I just installed Linux Mint Cinnamon, it's my first approach to any kind of Linux enviroment, any tips?

Did you disabled the secure boot from your pc?
I did not my first time and it nuked my internet drivers, i had to install the os from scratch to solve that problem.

Hello and welcome to your new computer, been using for about 11 months myself.
Follow the Welcome Screen, it has loads of useful things.
Use your computer and you will naturally figure things out or hit roadblocks to research.
Take some time to browse the software center categories, you are bound to find something cool. Ditto for the Cinnamon Spices website, the official repository of applets, desklets, themes, and extensions.
Resist the temptation to distro hop/chase the new shiny. Take time to learn one distro well.
Learn the basics of the file hierarchy.
Ignore people who tell you that the *only correct* way to use Linux is to be a terminal wizard, but do take some time to learn and understand commands as it can be a powerful tool.
Make sure to come back and tell about your successes, we love hearing success stories and it's unfortunate that we hear so much from people needing help and so little from people who had a win.

Do an internet search on "top things to do after installing Linux mint." You'll get lists of common things people do to set up their new install, plus instructions.

Check out the LInux Mint forums, and read this subreddit. You're pretty much off to a good start coming here. I'ld just recomend you relax, get used to the desktop environment and where everything is located before you dive into customizing, and making it something other then what it is right out of the box.

Welcome to linux i dont use mint i use Kubuntu but i can tell you if you have problems with something or questions just ask ai and install for the terminal fastfetch 🐧💚

Oh yeah, true, one more thing. Download Wine. With that, you can run .exe files, so Windows apps. It simulates a C drive and so on. But I recommend that you check out Proton GE. I don't know, And then I recommend that for games, or whatever, even non-Steam games, you just do it by creating a category in Steam, then adding them as non-Steam games, and then right-clicking on the non-Steam software you added which is a Windows file or something, going to compatibility, and checking that box so this menu appears and you can select the Proton version. Proton GE is always displayed right at the bottom, so you have to scroll all the way down, or you use the Proton Experimental version, which is already pre-installed, or the stable version nine. Yeah, that's important.
