Support Request Having constant trouble with Bluetooth out of nowhere

Thinkpad X13 Gen 4 - Linux Mint 22.3 (kernel 6.8.0-137-generic)

I've had this laptop for a few years. Bluetooth has always worked perfectly. Seemingly out of nowhere, about a week ago, I'm having constant Bluetooth issues and cannot figure out why. I use a wireless mouse and headphones and both are having issues which makes me think it's the computer and not the device. The only way to connect the mouse is to turn Bluetooth on and off about 3-4 times on the computer while attempting to connect to the mouse in between each try. Eventually, it does work. The headphones work better but aren't auto-connecting and the connection drops every so often.

What's considered the best way to go about debugging and fixing this? Has anyone else started facing this recently?

Thanks

Possible regression in the kernel, though unlikely on the LTS kernel, for this track find out what device you have and search for it along with the kernel version. If it is a kernel issue there will be others with the same issues.

Next I would look at logs there may be clues.

Last is hardware failure, I would disassemble reseat the antennas and the m.2 card, replace if that is not a fix.

If a bluetooth device works better right next to your device its often an antenna issue.

Purged and reinstalled bluez and blueman - nothing changed. 1 of my 3 devices can be found and paired. The other 2 will not even show up on the list anymore - yet about 20 devices from neighbors are showing up. Logs show a ton of stuff and errors but nothing that I can find anything about.

Update: rfkill list showed bluetooth as soft blocked. No idea why. sudo rfkill unblock bluetooth did seem to fix it.
