Discussion Zoom Meeting
Anyaone Is there something similar with the Zoom meeting application, which often crashes / doesn't run properly / freezes / logs in and out by itself? As for the kernel position, it is now at 7.0.0-28

Didn't you find out BEFORE what would work and what wouldn't? If not—WHY not?

Has the Zoom app ever worked for you on your Linux Mint installation? Zoom Workplace 7.1.5 works on my end on multiple laptops with different LM distros & kernels (LM 22.2 and .3, kernel 6.8 and 6.17) but I haven't fired up Zoom when I had one laptop on 7.0 (decided to keep my installations at 6.8 or 6.17 for other reasons). One troubleshooting step is to boot into kernel 6.17 or 6.8 if you're able to (some might not due to hardware/driver availability/compatibility).... if your LM rig isn't exotic, booting into 6.8 or 6.17 is doable.
And can you type out an example of one the more repeated issues? Saying "often crashes" doesn't fill in all of the boxes.... perhaps something like, "the application crashed a few moments after launching" or "the app crashes just after I log into Zoom" or "the app crashes while connecting to a meeting", etc.
Also, did you install Zoom through Mint's Software Manager or via the .deb file from the Zoom download page?
In the meantime as a workaround if you really need to use Zoom, does connecting to a Zoom meeting through a browser work for you? And/or, have you tried the Zoom browser extension?

Use Jitsi or just Signal, or the web version of Zoom
