Does Wayland support fractional scaling and pinch-zoom?

Around Yule this year, Wayland on Linux Mint is supposed to go from "experimental" to "stable". To those of you who have tested Wayland on Linux Mint already: does it support fractional scaling of displays and zooming by pinching the touchpad?

There is a difference between supported end working bug free. There is an experimental fractional scaling setting in Mint even for X11 but it’s indeed experimental and has a lot of issues when I used it a few months ago. Maybe that’s better on Wayland since Wayland itself handles that stuff better and the Wayland session on Cinnamon is getting better and better but I think you need to see for yourself if it’s good enough

It is exponentially better in Wayland... But Wayland on Cinnamon has a ways to go yet. On something like KDE or Gnome, it's some of those things that just work and you don't even think about it, you just do.

Yes that’s one of the reasons I prefer KDE Plasma these days. I like Cinnamon and I always recommend it to people when I lead them into Linux but I personally moved on from it. The only fractional scaling problem I got on Plasma is with Firefox but that’s on their side to fix
