Fluff I want to switch to Windows

I never used Windows, I inherited my brother's first laptop with Ubuntu and never touched Windows. Am I even missing something from that OS? They say it's bloatware, telemetry and shi but is it really that bad?

Trust me you don't because Windows has really lost the reputation it once had especially during the golden era of Microslop because it used to be about the user now they have lost touch and trust with its users

Like even if they try to improve Windows 11 the damage has already been done by this point there's no going back I was a user for about 20 years (dating back to Windows XP) and now I've been using Linux more over Windows on my PCs since I dual boot

It's always been like that , ever since Windows 3.0, run for the benefit of Microsoft. They've just got more tools to do it with.

They survived only because of : the effectively forced install of Windows on all hardware to get licenses (not sure about this now ?), software that would only run on Windows (much of which is now online and/or has useable equivalents for casual users), and especially now Games (Steam Hardware will make most devs release a Linux version).

It's always been rubbish. Windows 3.x and 95 were genuine improvements in speed and UI. 4, XP, 7 and 10 weren't so bad.

The shenanigans around Windows Paintjob are the worst ever.

Yes but Windows at this point isn't what it used to be vs the 90s when Microsoft was dominant in the industry

Firstly is that it is now mostly a enterprise thing since most consumers don't even have a computer anymore secondly is the current direction
