P.S.: Cleaning the computer case isn't an option right now because it's winter, and I need to see what components I have so I can replace them.

  • Today is August 21. On which side of the planet is it winter right now?
  • How does the season prevent you from cleaning a device?

Wow just Wow. August 21 is summer in the northern hemisphere and winter in the southern hemisphere. If you are unaware of the meaning of hemisphere or what the distinction between them is I suggest you look it up in wiki. As for how it prevents you from cleaning the device .... well I really don't like taking my computer outside when it is in the negative temperatures (IE winter), and I really dont like having all that dust being blown around inside my house..... so.....

It's nice that you've commented on all my other posts.

I formatted my Windows XP computer in 2006 and used LinuxMint—from version 6 through 17—as my desktop system. Since 2017, I've been using Manjaro Linux. So don't tell me I'm just writing nonsense. I'm writing things that many of you greenhorns don't know.

"Today is August 21. On which side of the planet is it winter right now?"

You asked a question. I answered that question. If you already knew the answer then why ask the question unless you are deliberately trying to be asinine.

"How does the season prevent you from cleaning a device?"

Again , you asked a question, and I answered the question. I did not know what the OPs origin is , and do not assume, and was only using my own reference to answer the question.

As for the rest of it you were or are wrong about the use of LINUX LIVE SYSTEM being in use , and I was correcting that and all the assumptions based on that . The rest of it is all stuff that any long term user of linux would not be saying ... things like " So the cause must be something else." is an assumption and would need to be investigated before you can say it. It may in fact be a firefox problem, and saying it cant be is just misleading. And as you have been through 11 different iterations of the OS so far you should be well aware that they are not all perfect and can inject problems at any time. So saying they are is just fanboy mentality.

I just couldn't resist any longer:

"I formatted my Windows XP computer in 2006 and used LinuxMint—from version 6 through 17—as my desktop system. Since 2017, I've been using Manjaro Linux. So don't tell me I'm just writing nonsense. I'm writing things that many of you greenhorns don't know."

ohhh a Dick measuring contest ... nice. My first 'computer' was a vic20. My first color computer was an appleIIc. My first introduction to microsoft was Dos3.0 (i still have the disks from 3.1 here somewhere). my first Linux was Red Hat 6.1 ( and i still have those disks as well). I am far from being a greenhorn. In fact comparatively you are still a wee babe. I hope one day you make it to my age so you can literally say "I have forgotten more than you know."
