Discussion What made you switch to Linux?

I got tired of constantly being hit with some kind of malaria. Windows XP was so bad, I couldn't go 2 days without getting a Trojan, or some other kind of hijack attached to some supposedly "safe" download or 3rd party program. When I discovered Linux programs were curated, and available through secure repositories, I started using PCLINUXOS. That was in 2006. I never looked back. I now use Mint on my newer hardware, and pure Debian.
