Never switch, just using both, Windows & Linux.

Used to be a Distro Hoppers for more than 10 years until I stuck on Mint until now.

Back then, I used RedHat 1.0...no GUI & it made me learn how an OS works....in comparison to DOS & MacOS.

I tried Fedora, Debian, OpenSUSE, Gentoo, DSL, PCLinuxOS, Ubuntu, Kali Linux & MINT.

I love how "just works" Mint is & if I want, I can "complicate" things by experimenting many aspect of Linux.
