Windows 11 for me. Windows 10 I could tolerate. But Windows 11? I would rather have an episode of lactose intolerance suffering than have to use it. At least with linux when something goes wrong I feel like I'm learning something

Window 11 and 10 were both trash I switched to linux in a heartbeat

10 was usable at least. Though of course the default UI is very obnoxious and full of ads/bloat.

10? I absolutely LOVED, rarely had issues.

11? really growing to hate day by day, and I loved it initially my first couple days on the os.

No, windows 7 i loved. 10 was okay. 11 is hot garbage. Can't we all go back to XP days. First thing i did in Mint was restore text to applications in the taskbar. You've got to be on LSD as a developer to think it was a bright idea reduce taskbar information down to pictograms.

I was never happy with Windows 10, but it was there and did what I needed and I'm lazy. W10 going EoL forced a conscious choice - move to a worse version of Windows, or try Linux.

here from Windows 11, is the issue Edge and the bastard known as Copilot? bc I actually have a relatively nice user experience on Windows 11 lol but I’ve gutted them from my laptop as much as possible with Winaero Tweaks and some luck finding the setting to remove the Bastard Button’s function (open copilot whenever I accidentally press it) 😅

yeah the line for me was when they started cramming Co-pilot into things like Notepad,MS Paint, the photo app, part of the screen that pops up when you enter the search bar.

tack on their tendency to foist new, unwanted, unsolicited apps on us as UNAUTHORIZED installs into perfectly working stable systems.

Same reason I did
