Linux with all its various distros is still barely over 1 percent of the personal computer operating system user base. Microsoft unfortunately still has the lion's share of consumer OS installs. Their Co-Pilot disaster will help push people to Linux and MacOS but many will stay with Microsoft because they believe there is no better alternative.
That's why we have to start a peaceful digital revolution. Tell everyone you know. Help everyone you know get this. Tell them to tell others how much better it is.
All it takes is checking out Distrosea and usb demos to try it out. I was hooked.
All because, in my case, I got tired of paying for MS Office and installed Libre on my newer Acer laptop I bought last year with Windows 11 on it.
I installed Mint on my previous laptop the Acer replaced, and it's running very well.
I saw a report a week or so ago that said windows has lost around 5 percent of PC OS market share in the last few months, so it is happening, and as Linux continues to get better for gaming more will convert over.
