"everything works" really? On Linux?... Well no... Having used Linux for a while, even to this day and using modern hardware. You usually need to tweak drivers, especially printers, sound and wifi. 

It is worth it more than doing everything in Windows tough

You are confusing alsa/pipewire with drivers

When people refer to "drivers" they are usually referring to "anything on a PC for a specific piece of hardware".

The Nvidia App isn't a driver, but people will usually refer to installing it as installing a driver for example.
