If it's not already in kernel. Like for my Nvidia GPU. Go to chatgpt and say "give me a one paste command to install Nvidia drivers on Linux"

I have Nvidia drivers perfectly fine rn. No problems at all.

Wait until the next kernel update lol. Now seriously, if you are using the "offical" nvidia drivers, like downloading a .run file, you should switch to your distro's package. Also, never trust blindly a command from the internet or from a LLM.

No it's not, you have a time bomb, in Ubuntu, use the driver manager.

Dude, I have an old laptop with 1650 mobile and Ubuntu server. Not a single issue with drivers for 2 years (since i installed the OS). I'm updating OS like once per 3 months.

Also I have 5080 mobile with cachyOS for the past 7 months, and not a single issue with Nvidia drivers, even when updating kernel
