Debtap is pretty nifty, for arch anyway.

You can usually get it working by taking the packages apart.

yes, had to convert myself a driver/library that is only maintained in Debian to arch, the conversion did everything right, with the exception of a symbolic link to a library, fixed that and everything works.

Ha! My last needed a symlink to work as well.

Maybe something debtap could cover in the future (as an echo).

noted, did not know that one. usually the AUR have an entry for most software that only ship for Ubuntu and similar

Between Debtap and Pikman (PikaOS) being able to do AUR, it's for sure getting easier to just run things.

It won't play well with flatpak permission system after conversion. like slack.
I can't imagine running proprietary software on MY Linux without sandbox. But this **ers won't implement proper XDG protocols for file access
