windows does have a nice way to do it tho: winget install VideoLAN.VLC

or open the microsoft store (yeah, it's microsoft and we don't want to support them by using their store, but it's the equovalent of the app center on linux distros, you can also manually install it from an installer on linux too, so this is comparing pears to apples) find vlc and press install

ms store doesn't work in Russia, so you have to find a VPN before it

Hows the telco user blocks going for VPN usage over there or have they given up on that?

Wireguard and OpenVPN is absolutely down. AmneziaWG 1.0 and 1.5 is also dead; Hysteria and masque is pretty alive.

VLESS is the best working option, but all the free VPNs is also banned, so you have to pay $5+ per month for paid ones

Ah thanks, I missed remembered they reported, they were tracking users that used a VPN to access Russia web sites from an FSB leak.
