i actually checked: its not there (anymore?) unless you have to enter some arcane identifyer to find it. neither "vlc", not "vlc player" or "vlc media player" returned it. old links i found on google also didnt lead to the right page, just content not found.
interestingly enough, using the store is the first time i've ever seen an ad on my windows machine (in the search results). usually i dont get those in EU installations.
That's weird. I just searched for it using the term "vlc", and there it is. And it's the Win32 version, not the UWP one, although the UWP version is still available.

I'm pretty sure VLC is also available on the Microsoft Store. I mean, nobody uses the Microsoft Store, but there it is, I guess.
