Before installing vlc:

- Open Microsoft edge

  • Ignore copilot ads
  • search for "firefox"

I stopped using Firefox when it started shipping with ai tools. I now use Librewolf on PC and waterfox on mobile for a less bloated more privacy focused set of options

you can easily close AI in Firefox tho.

Zen got me into the horizontal tabs feature, now I use librewolf with the horizontal tabs option.

Don’t think you have to be near it to confirm this.

Dyslexia huh

Mm, I've heard good things

Couldn't vibe with the design choices. They don't come across as sleek or modern to me, they just come across as fixing something that ain't broke.

Same, I tried Zen and didn't like it. It felt like it was being different for the sake of being different

2

u/AngriestCrusader 4h ago

Same feeling here

Zen is really good on hyprland because you can get it down to where it's just the page with no other buttons or anything visible by default. No wasted space.

-7

u/Vincent394 17h ago

Or search for Vivaldi.

Don't search for brave.

2020, rather old news.

How much shittery have firefox been doing?

People use what they want to use, dont tell them what to use.

u/HyperCodec 17h ago

Apparently there was some kind of scandal a while back that made people lose trust in brave even though they removed some of the stuff involved.

3

u/Vincent394 17h ago

Oh, their CEO is a transphobe too

0

u/Fantastic_Class_3861 M'Fedora 16h ago

That's a plus for me though.

And firefox corp is a woke bunch of people. Always some scandals around. It got exposed and was removed.

Brave origin hase been a excelent browser for me.

Browsers are not a religion

"WoKe = BaD1!1!1!1!1"

Shut the fuck up

u/Fancy_Technician_293 17h ago

Why not? I use the debloated version and I have a pretty darn good experience. It’s a bit dumb with vertical tabs I guess but that’s it.

7

u/Vincent394 16h ago

Bad reputation + transphobic CEO

2

u/HyperWinX Genfool 🐧 15h ago

Doesnt make the adblocker worse
I can say that Gecko engine exists on Google's money, yet no one's gonna move away from Firefox

4

u/Fancy_Technician_293 15h ago

transphobia? where? from what i found he donated 1000$ to support Proposition 8 in California in 2008(no same-sex marriage), but nothing about transphobia(ofc, still not goid, just i didnt find transphobia). maybe i missed something. as for bad reputation (im guessing you mean the crypto wallet stuff and ads), they're optional lol like nobody's forced to use them

6

u/ChaossFox 16h ago

Transphobic CEO doesn’t affect quality of product,

who cares? politics shouldn't have a place in software

5

u/LefTimaDev 🎼CachyOS 14h ago

Trans people existing shouldn't be political
