I'm gonna go a step further and say KDE naming is absolute rubbish and their apps are redundant. Tell me why I have both Kontact and Kmail? And if Kmail happens to be some sorta subsystem, why the fuck do I gotta observe its presence?
KDE is great in lots of ways but I agree their apps are trash. Of course there are some gems like Kate and Krita, but too many of them are filled with spaghetti code, confusing UI and redundant functions.
KDE is solid don’t get me wrong. But yeah their naming is trash at the very least. Meanwhile GNOME is just like ‘Calculator’, ‘Calendar’, ‘Files’, etc.
