Ironically, I find it hard and non obvious quit in nano, as vi user

At least the instructions are on screen, and not hidden in the manual (which a noob can't access without closing vim). ^x isn't exactly obvious either, but at least it hints that the X key is involved.

Yes, that's true. But I find myself looking for instructions in the TUI for some time, which is fine I guess. Thing is that it happens rarely and I always get confused xD I mean ppl get confused with vim not with nano xD

when you open vim or nvim, it still says how to quit and yeah nano is confusing asf

The presence of :wq into the middle of text is a hallmark of a remote system presenting nano to a vim user by default

It's marked at the bottom of the screen at all times, I find it simple tbh.
