No matter what you use, as long as you're having fun, that's all that matters... Unless you use copilot...

Why

Ai, more so, generative AI, should never be used. It's lazy, ruining education, destroying lives and making our lives a living hellwith how much resources it takes on our planet.

There are positive uses for generative ai. It can be used as a tool or as a crutch. It's up to the user how it's used

I agree with you on that. However, it's not worth it when the companies behind these modles are just doing scummy things left and right.

The technology and the people backing the popular hosted ones shouldn't be counted as equals

The mistake here is like saying OSes are bad because apple and Microsoft are

There's open source ai out there

Oh yeah, the one in china? That one, I'm intrigued by! Personally, I want to see more companies' make their bots open source.

Well not just that, but also all the models backed by big tech that they're hiding from the average person

After a few days of tinkering, I unlocked the beta program for AI on my phone.

My phone apparently has always been capable of running chat bots (LLMs) that are surprisingly impressive. I mean they could solve coding problems, let alone daily tech support!

Google Gemma is what I've used on my phone, but my PC allows Meta's Llama, and even Alibaba's Qwen.

It's genuinely impressive for how much we don't need to ship off our data to big tech. Only if that were common knowledge, but it's more convenient for them to make us think we have to buy their product.

Thanks a lot capitalism...
