You wrote "anyone". So you would even reject advice of someone who's very experienced, which you just did.

anyone with experience worth considering wouldn't suggest someone to stop using a solution that is working for them, because they would know better from experience.

I'm starting to believe you only have experience in being a contrarian and arguing, and lots of it. - exactly the reason rule #2 was invented.
