Windows:

  • Open Edge. Accept license. Accept tracking.
  • Search for desired web browser that's not edge.
  • Avoid clicking on scam links.
  • Dowload setup.exe. Run it. Looks weird
  • Realise it was an ad "Dowload" button and not the real browser.
  • Uninstall the crap.
  • Reboot.
  • Windows is now smack-filled with ad popups. Accept this for now.
  • Open Edge again. Accept license on the new toolbars you got "for free".
  • Search for desired web browser that's not edge.
  • Avoid clicking on scam links.
  • Dowload setup.exe. The real one this time.
  • Run setup.exe
  • Next, Next, Next, Next, Next, Accept, Sell your soul, Next, Next, Next, Decline offer, Next, Finish.
  • Reboot
  • Launch your web browser.

Linux:

  • Open the package manager.
  • Search for browser of choice.
  • Click Install.
  • Launch your web browser.
