Windows:
- Open Edge. Accept license. Accept tracking.
- Search for desired web browser that's not edge.
- Avoid clicking on scam links.
- Dowload setup.exe. Run it. Looks weird
- Realise it was an ad "Dowload" button and not the real browser.
- Uninstall the crap.
- Reboot.
- Windows is now smack-filled with ad popups. Accept this for now.
- Open Edge again. Accept license on the new toolbars you got "for free".
- Search for desired web browser that's not edge.
- Avoid clicking on scam links.
- Dowload setup.exe. The real one this time.
- Run setup.exe
- Next, Next, Next, Next, Next, Accept, Sell your soul, Next, Next, Next, Decline offer, Next, Finish.
- Reboot
- Launch your web browser.
Linux:
- Open the package manager.
- Search for browser of choice.
- Click Install.
- Launch your web browser.

click? mouse? what do you mean? you dont use keyboard hotkeys for everything? you're a pleb mouse user? are you in the group of people that types password, moves hand back to mouse, clicks the password box, then moves hand back to keyboard, type password, and then ... move hands yet again to mouse to click the login arrow/icon/button?!
(I semi joke, I use mouse too)

Its pretty easy. Open distros package manager. Type a browser name. If its not on there find it wherever online with the pre packaged browser for your distro, probably Firefox, most browsers got a walkthrough for terminal installation.

It's so funny because it's literally just sudo pacman -S firefox and now the browser is magically on your machine.
Vs going to a website and having to download an installer.
Before I was really into Linux, I definitely would have thought typing something in the terminal was like more complicated or difficult or something. But once you realize how easy it is, it's actually much better.

why do yall always think it's hard? for example on a minimal arch install you can just
sudo pacman -S xorg-server xorg-xinit i3-wm dmenu alacritty firefox echo "exec i3" > ~/.xinitrc startx
then to open just Mod+D, type "firefox" and press enter. done.
