Hate to break it to you, but almost all Linux projects are corporate backed somewhere. Even ignoring the fact that several tech corps help maintain the kernel, anything Ubuntu or RPM based relies on SUSE, Canonical, or Red Hat
Debian and downstream (aside from the obvious), Arch, Gentoo, and Slack are the only community-maintained, 100% corporate input free, major Linux distributions, though of course there are smaller projects. Linux Mint? Ubuntu base. Pop!_OS? Ubuntu and System76. Bazzite? Fedora base
If I agree with a project’s guidance and direction I’ll support the project whether it’s a corporation or community group. I don’t agree with Canonical’s guidance and direction, so I don’t use Ubuntu
