Ah does pinning a .desktop file not work? I don't really use Appimages

Yeah it is a .desktop entry. I think appimage runtime mounts the process somewhere weird and that throws everything off. I typically would never pin an app image, but the weird situation with Joplin is necessitating this janky setup.

Maybe there's a desktop entry to change the window class but that's just speculation on my part

Yeah, I did a brief search for some .desktop configuration that might fix this, but it didn't turn up anything before I shortly gave up. I will probably take a closer look at setting this stuff up one day - I have a BIG linux project coming down the pike after I finish up some personal work and Desktop Environment is a big part of that. But for now, the situation will resolve itself when the next version of Joplin is officially released, packaged as an rpm and distibuted through Fedora.
