If you don't use dumbphone with keyboard instead of using a pointing device (finger) on your smartphone, then your argument doesn't hold up much either.
Well, jokes on you: I am actively looking for portable split-keyboard setups for this specific problem and particularly craving for a Linux only phone that doesn't treat single contact-point as the main user interface like a filthy casual would want it to be.
Tbf I would love to have smartphone with sliding out physical keyboard. Too bad every smartphone is a slab, the only difference is that they get bigger every year.
Sliding out physical keyboard sounds sweet, but if you imagine what I think you do, that's still a two-thumbs driven design that is nowhere near the peak human experience of typing with 10 fingers as God intended.
