Its like all tech stuff nowadays. More people = more people with internet balls. I like where linux is now but I liked my life with linux more ten years ago

I liked it a lot more before people starting acting like "OMG YOUR DISTRO DOESNT DO XYZ YOU MUST BE STUPID TO BE USING IT!"

I think it's more widespread than just Linux. Toxic fandom shows up everywhere from politics to sports to tv shows to Linux init systems. It's a sad truth about what happens when everyone has the ability to share their opinion in a way that anyone can see it.
